These systems may also be called Electromagnetic systems. These electronic article surveillance tags and made using amorphous metal that has a low magnetic saturation value. Detection is made by using a mix of low-frequency magnetic fields then sensing harmonics and sum or difference signals generated by the tags as a response to these magnetic fields.
