Cost analysis is an evaluation of the various cost elements and indirect goods/services (ie. overhead, labor, materials, profit, transportation, etc) which make-up the total price. This analysis helps determine if the investment is justified and determines if the benefits outweigh the costs. The process often involves breaking down the costs of some operation and reporting on each factor separately.
