Information Utility is an information network that specializes in supplying information to businesses and other organizations. It is a large-scale provider of information (content) and/or access to the internet, such as America Online (AOL). Together with internet access providers (IAS) and internet service providers (ISP), IUs form the three basic types of firms that provide access to the internet.
